I'm creating a puppet-like character and putting him into a nautical scene (which will be constructed from fabric and other textile-like materials). Here are some images of my progress so far:
I put wire inside the little sailor puppet so that I could position his arms, legs, and head in different ways. I'm going to give him a little peg leg. His eyes are going to be his main way of expression. I will change them out throughout the stop motion.
I have the makings of his little raft (I'm going to add a small sail to it). The satin water will move around in each scene. I'm currently working on the moon (I will probably make a few--small, medium, and large size for when the moon slowly gets closer).
